This is Elei (E-Lay)  
His real name is "Ele Ele", which means "Black" in
Hawaiian
Our Ele is a very special kitty, even though he wasn't adopted from a
shelter.  Little baby Ele wasn't given a chance to go to a shelter.

Instead, he was found in the middle of winter, in January, in a
dumpster.  He was sick with an infection and couldn't breathe very
well.  He hadn't eaten much and the nice lady who found him didn't
think he was going to live.  She took care of him for two days and then
gave him to us.  
We continued his medicine, cleaned, fed and loved him, and he is now
4 years old.
He's a sweet, cuddly cat, who loves attention.
His best friend is Thor, the big Rottweiler.
